I am beyond excited to be heading back to nyc tomorrow for a few days. I’ll be visiting Brooklyn for the first time too, which is super cool. I’ll be mostly offline, but will have lots to share when I return later in the week.

Me: “Hey Dad, I really need something like a paper towel holder to organize my washi tapes. Dowels or something. So I can have organized stacks. Like 5 of them.”
Dad: “I have a 48″ dowel, how many spindles do you want?”
Me: “How about six that are 8″ long each.” (Impressive math skills, huh?)
Dad: “Ok, I’ll attach them to a base and then sand it and put a clear coat on it.”
Me: “How about you just spray paint it, like neon pink?”
Dad: [calling from the hardware store]: “They don’t have neon pink here, so I got plum.”
Me: “Perfect.”
(and there’s a second one, just like it.)

I shipped the last 9 orders of 2011 this afternoon and am feeling so grateful for a fantastic year and an overwhelmingly awesome holiday season! Thanks a zillion to all my friends, family and incredible customers. I am also so thankful for all the wonderful people I have met over the past year who also sell on Etsy. I am really excited to share more of the work of these fabulous artists and crafters on my blog in the new year. I have so much respect and admiration for anyone who has taken the plunge and put their creative endeavors on the internets for the entire universe to see. It is truly mind boggling to look at google analytics and see that people from Portugal and Saudia Arabia and Jamaica and hundreds of other countries around the world have looked at my handmade soap on the computer monitor in front of them at some point in the past year.
I wish a happy, healthy and prosperous 2012 to everyone, great things are in store over the coming months!
